CORALVILLE, Iowa - Eric Dean Stewart, 42, of Coralville, Iowa, passed way Saturday, March 19, 2011, at his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. today at the mortuary. Eric was born March 5, 1969, in Davenport to Larry and Connie (Speak) Stewart. He had been employed at Amana in North Liberty, Iowa, for many years. More recently he was working at Hunters Supply in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Eric was a huge NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Tony Stewart with the black and red No. 14 car. The maize and blue of Michigan's football was Eric's second passion as he never missed a game and proudly supported the program.
Survivors include a son, Jacob Stewart, Dixon, Ill.; three daughters, Kennedy and Peyton Stewart, North Liberty, Iowa, and Miley Stewart, Coralville, Iowa; parents, Larry and Cari Stewart, Taylor Ridge, Ill.; brother, Chad (Jill) Stewart, Erie, Ill.; sisters, Lori (Ron) Wright, Davenport, and Allison (Keith) Avin, North Liberty, Iowa; grandmother Betty Speak, Davenport; step-grandparents, Granny and Doug, East Moline, Ill., and Papa and Lisa, Milan, Ill.; four nieces and one nephew; and several aunts and uncles.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Stewart, and a brother, Cory Stewart.
