On a cold day on the 25th of January 1916 life was begun by Frank Evin Corn. His parents were John Crowell Corn and Martha Jane Rich Corn in Rich-Corn Hollow. He was alway a really inquisitive and seaked knowledge. He like the other boys worked on the farm. He attended Coosa School and then it was on to high school at Blairsville Collegiate Institute. It is unclear whether or not that he graduated. No the less in those days the boys were lucky to get a fifth grade education much less attend high school in the area, especially in the depression. After school he joined the CCC (Civil Conservation Corp) camps. Like the others he did some masonary work and carpenter work during the enlistment. About 1939 he joined the Army for 2 years and was discharged in about 1941. After being back in civilian for a short while the joined the Navy. He served during and/or in World War II, Korean War and Vietnam. Being in the Seabees he was with the first group that went in to contruct road and air strips. He soon achieved the rank of Warrant Office and was promoted to Cheif Warrant Office forth class CWO4). After the wars he spent most of his time building and working Golf Courses for the Military.
