"Dalton Davis, of Coleman, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Joe Hailey officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Family visitation was held on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.

"Dalton Davis was born October 14, 1939 in Coleman, Texas, a son of the late Walter Davis and Nettie Wesson Davis. He grew up in Coleman where he attended school. In 1959 he married LaNelle Davenport in San Angelo and she preceded him in death on May 16, 1999. Dalton was an antique dealer and was Church of Christ.

"Survivors include one son, Steve Davis and wife Elena of Coleman; one grandson, Cody Davis of Alaska; one sister, Betty Hunter and husband Kenneth of Jal, New Mexico; one brother, Robert Knowles of Dallas.

"Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society."
