MOUNT VERNON — Kathy Jacobs was born Aug. 24, 1943, and left us, peacefully, at the age of 68 on May 31, 2007. Family surrounded her when the good Lord called her home.

Kathy was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church of Gambier; and attended the New Life Church of the Nazarene, First Church of the Nazarene and the Apostolic Christian Church, all of Mount Vernon.

She was preceded in death by loving parents, Edwin and Margaret Jacobs.

Surviving are brother, Steve (Bobbie) Jacobs; sister-in-law, Sharon (Mike) Hunter; nephew, Mike (Tracy) Jacobs; great-niece and nephews, Cori Beatty (Jacobs), Gage Whitmoyer, Chloe Jacobs and Keaton Jacobs; niece, Teresa (Jeff) Senig, all of Lancaster; cousins, Katy (Bill) Schumacher of Hartville, Ohio, and Maurice Champion.

She will be deeply missed by special friends, Uncle Jerry, Kathy Luna and her extended family at the Beech Tree Apartments. Kathy will be remembered dearly by many friends and loved ones throughout Mount Vernon and Gambier.

A caring cremation has taken place; however, there will be a celebration of life ceremony June 10 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Epworth United Methodist Church of Gambier. A graveside service will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Gambier
