BURNT CABINS - Norman John Mumma, 86, died the evening of August 7, 1982, in the Washington County hospital, Hagerstown, Md.

Born June 17, 1896, in Burnt Cabins, he was the son of the late John and Myrtle Gallagher Mumma.

He was employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission prior to his retirement and was a member of Burnt Cabins United Methodist Church.

He was the widower of Eva Emmons Mumma. Surviving are one daughter, Helen chambers, Waynesboro; one brother, Ira Mumma, Burnt Cabins; two sisters, Irene Brown and Beatrice Clevenger, both of Burnt Cabins; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kelso Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, with the Rev. Albert Horst officiating. Burial will be in Burnt Cabins Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
