15 June 1931: Alfred C. Atkins, a native, of Lebanon, passed away at Langhorne, a suburb of Philadelphia, on Friday, aged 72 years. He was ill for some time, suffering from a complication of diseases. He was a scion of one of the older families of Lebanon, being a son of the late George, L. J., as a summer resort, and Alfred C. Atkins succeeded his father as a hotel proprietor there, and operated the properties for a long terms of years. He later was in the hotel business at Miami and other resorts in Florida. His wife, who was the former Cora Walters, of this city, passed away about eight years ago. L. C. Walter and Mrs. John H. Raudenbush, sister and brother, respectively, of the late Mrs. Atkins, received word this morning of the death of their brother-in-law. Mr. Walter was associated with Mr. Atkins a number of years ago, in the management of the Asbury Park Hotel. Mr. Atkins leaves a son, George L.
