John Charles Albright Sr., 86, of Boynton died May 6, 1996, at his home. Born Oct. 12, 1909, in Meyersdale. A son of the late John F. and Annie (Miller) Albright. Preceded in death by his wife, Mabel (Miller) Albright, a son John, and a daughter Susan. Survived by these children: Darryl, Meyersdale RD 4; Homer, Wilmington, Del.; Donald, Stoystown; James, Meyersdale; Ruth Frazee, Wilmington, Del.; Lois Jean Bittinger, Grantsville, Md.; Nancy Friend, Algodones, NM; Donna Kay Fiscus, Meyersdale; Rachel Fazenbaker, Boynton; Kathy Ravenscraft, Canton, Ohio, and Rhonda Denton, Philadelphia; 29 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren. Also a brother, Lee H. Meyersdale, and a sister, Ruth Horning, Grantsville, Md. Veteran of World War II. Member of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, Meyersdale American Legion and the Brooklyn Hunting Club. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday at the Leckemby Funeral Home. On Monday, he will be taken to the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren to lie in state from 1 to 2 pm, with the service at 2pm with Pastor Mike Swick. Interment, Union Cemetery.
