2004 Dec 28 Tue CHESNEE, SC-- Mr. Marion ONeal Pegleg Allen, 57, of 1268 Hwy 11 West, Chesnee, died December 25, 2004, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He is the son of Belvia Dickson Allen of Chesnee, and the late Paul Allen. He was a member of the Chesnee Masonic Lodge #294 and was also a Hejaz Shriner. He was a member of State Line Baptist Church and was a native of Spartanburg County. Surviving are two daughters, Amy Allen OConnor and husband David of Chesnee, Angela Darlene Allen of Chesnee; one step-son, Army National Guard Specialist Raymond David Putnam of Chesnee; mother, Belvia Dickson Allen of Chesnee; two sisters, Faye Riddle of Pacolet, Caroline Carol Allen of Chesnee; and one brother, Ed Allen of Gaffney; and by a good friend, Nan J. Allen of Chesnee. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold Allen and Hugh Allen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. at Sandy Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Phillip Bailey and Preacher Allen Hood. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee, Tuesday, December 28, 2004, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. The family is at the residence.
