Alice Faye Shafer, 83, of Campbell's Creek, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Faye was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Merlie Wills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Shafer; sisters, Margaret Riley and Eugenia Dabney; brother-in-law Bryce Robinson.

Faye was a member of Coal Fork United Methodist Church, as well a member of the Circle of God's Love women's group. She retired from C&P Telephone Company, where she started working just after high school. Faye enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

She is survived by sisters, Nancy Wills and Kitty Robinson; nieces, Peggy (Marshall) Holstine, Nancy (Steve) Kennedy, Dee (Jimmy) Siders and Sandy Dabney, all of Campbell's Creek, Kathy Riley of Victoria, TX, Teresa Valentino of Newark, OH and Joyce (Tim) Means of Midlothian, VA; nephew, Jim (Mary) Riley of Pensacola, FL. Special neighbors and friends, Rick and Edie Webb of Campbell's Creek.

A memorial service, celebrating Alice's life, will be held at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Coal Fork United Methodist Church, Campbell's Creek, with the Reverend Paul Coon officiating.

The family would like to thank the nurses and social workers at Kanawha Hospice Care and Hubbard Hospice House for their compassion and support.
