CAROLYN HOWELL
Carolyn L. Howell was born September 21, 1956 in Osceola, Iowa to Bob Howell and Erma Jones. She passed away March 19, 2009 at her home in Newton, Iowa at the age of 52.
Carolyn grew up in Chariton and graduated from Chariton High School and went on to attend Indian Hills Community College.
Carolyn had three children, Jotham, Nyla and Josiah. She also had three grandchildren, Sebastian, Echo and Gwyndolyn. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Erma and Royal Petersen, her grandparents, Kenneth Jones and Carolyn Bogle.
She is survived by her children, Jotham, Nyla and Josiah; her two brothers, Royal Petersen Jr. of Sedalia, Mo. and Howard Howell of Chariton; her two sisters, Bert Baker of Chariton and Evelyn Grove of Perry; three grandchildren; and many friends. She was loved a lot and will be missed.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa with Pastor Paul Olson officiating. Interment was held in the Chariton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Lawler, Derek Schramm, Jotham C. Howell, Tyler Fetters, Ian Hall and Jason Mowery. Honorary bearers were Greg Clay, Sebastian Larson, Echo Hall, Gwyndalin Larson, Angel Mowery and Luke Farland.
