Goldie Ethel Welborn passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010, at National Health Care, Moulton.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in the chapel. Officiating will be Brother Ricky Watt and Brother Canton Hovater. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clifton Walter Welborn; parents, Jeffrey and Ella Bryant; son, James Clifton "J.C." Welborn; granddaughter, Susan Welborn; one brother; five sisters.
She is survived by her children, Arlin Hugh Welborn; Willadean Counts (husband, Allen); grandchildren, Thomas Counts (wife, Leigh Ann), Mary Kimbrough (husband, Larry), Harriet Inman (husband, Anthony), Mark Welborn (wife, Pam), Gary Welborn (wife, Ann), Darren Welborn (wife, Amanda), Richard Welborn; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Counts, Larry Kimbrough, Anthony Inman, Mark Welborn, Gary Welborn, Darren Welborn and Richard Welborn. Honorary pallbearers will be the great-grandsons.
