Bertha Lee Blagg, 86, of Turlock died Monday at Brandel Manor Convalescent Hospital.
Mrs. Blagg was a native of Springtown, Ark. She lived in Hughson 12 years and Denair 44 years before recently moving to Turlock. She retired from American Can Company in 1976, then returned to work as head sorter at Marathon Corporation. She was a member of Central California Old Time Fiddlers of Ceres, California State Old Time Fiddlers Chapter 13 of Merced, Denair and Hughson Senior Citizens clubs.
She is survived by her children, Arvilla Gray and Billie Blagg, both of Denair, and Verlon Blagg of Empire; brother, Frank Ellis of Delaware, Okla.; and 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Mortuary, Turlock. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Remembrances may be made to Hospice of Emanuel, PO Box 819005, Turlock 95381.
