Jennie Lou Croft, 92, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011. Mrs. Croft was born in Barnwell County and was the daughter of the late Aiken Owens and Edna Collins Owens and was married to the late T.J. Croft.
She was a member of Elko Baptist Church where she was a member of the Clara Hitt Sunday School Class, the WMU, served on the bereavement committee and worked at Mrs. Vickie's Day Care for a number of years. She was co-owner/operator of T.J. Croft Grocery.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Elaine Croft (Bobby) Clark; daughter-in-law, Linda B. Croft; grandchildren, Jamie (Lynn) Clark, Jessica (A.V.) Collum, Stacy (Lonnie) McCall; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Robbie Clark, Cori, Cayla and Jeremy McCall; sister, Aileen Birt; a special niece, Susan Canaday; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons, Thomas Ryan Croft, Larry Croft; granddaughter, Wendy Croft; sisters, Edith Smith, Margie Boyd, Vera Johnson, Catherine Beasley; brothers, Tommy and Sonny Owens.
