Patsy Lee Batts, 80, of Benton died at 8:30 a.m. Friday (Sept. 30, 2011) at her home.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1930 in West Frankfort to Commodore Birl Rose and Effie Boyd Rose. She married James Robert Batts on June 13, 1953. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1999.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan Batts of Benton; three sons, Alan Batts and wife Mary of Champaign, Jim Batts and wife Betty of Benton and Steve Batts of Benton; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jennifer and Leslie Batts, all of Benton, and Kara and Ryan Batts, both of Tuscola; two sisters-in-law, Joann Rose of Girard and Evelyn Batts of Bentonand several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Walter Ray Rose.
