Dawn L. Proctor, 58, of 145 Elmwood Rd., Lancaster, passed away January 12, 2007, at home after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of the late Lee Frank and Gladys L. Whittaker Stephens.

Dawn most recently worked as the assistant to the Director of the Library at the Lancaster Theological Seminary.

She was the wife of John W. Proctor

Also surviving are: four children, Daniel J., husband of Laura Baylis, of Las Vegas, Nev., Dionne C. Baylis, longtime friend of Kim Bowers, of Newport, Del., Robert C. Baylis, fianc of Armae Garcia, of Smyrna, Del, Jennifer M. Baylis, of Newcastle, Del.; two step-daughters, Jenny Anne Proctor, and Amanda M. Proctor, both of Germantown, Md.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with interment in the Mellinger Mennonite cemetery. Contributions may be made to your local Humane Society.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Furmans.
