Pam Hester Carter, age 44, of Muscle Shoals, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia. Her graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, of Sheffield, with Gary Yielding officiating.
Pam was a native of Sheffield, a 1984 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School and a longtime employee of Oral and Facial Surgery of the Shoals.
Her son, Nic, was the light of her life and her animals were her passion. She loved going to the river and spending time with all her friends.
Her smile was her greatest asset.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Melvin and Doris June Hester.
She is survived by her husband, John Anthony Carter; son, Charles Nicholas Allsbrooks; brother, Steven Charles Hester and wife, Holly, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; mother-in-law, Mary Louise Carter; sisters-in-law, Ann Carter Butler and husband, W.L., Georgia Carter Turner and husband, Eddie; brother-in-law, Sam T. "Bo" Carter and wife, Joanne; nieces, Audrey and Caroline Hester, Ashley Moss and Rebecca Butler.
Pallbearers are Jeff Willis, Dan Pickens, John Burdett, Matt Mothershed, John James and Eddie Turner.
Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia, is directing.
