On December 7, 1943, in Sedalia, Mr. Durrill married Nadine Belle Morton. Howard was a member of the Army Air Corps during WWII and worked as a B-29 mechanic. He was a manager of MFA Exchanges and Elevator in Fulton, Higginsville and Slater for 25 years. Howard also worked in maintenance at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
Howard was a deacon emeritus at First Baptist Church. He was a former commander, adjutant and life member of the American Legion Post 16. Howard was also a member of the VFW 2591, life member of the 40 & 8, Sedalia Lodge 236 AF&AM, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 57. He was also a member of the Ducks Unlimited and liked to fish and garden.
