Services Sept. 27 For Al Anderson
Funeral services have been arranged for Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in Evangelical Covenant church here for Allan F. Anderson, whose death Monday at the veterans hospital in Fargo shocked family and friends alike. He was 65 years, 6 months and 14 days old.
The Rev. Wesley Morris will officiate and internment is to be in Elm Park cemetery.
Active pallbearers are to be Carl Blom, Presley Williamson, Olaf Olson, Harold Duitscher, Chester White and Harold Hansen. In an honorary capacity will be Ed Pohrte, Clyde Anderson, Grant Slick, Walter Olson, Brandon Slick, Marvin Baldwin, Kenneth Aery, Silas Anderson, Victor Anderson and Art Anderson.
Allan F. Anderson was born March 10, 1897, in Duel county, South Dakota. The family moved to Milaca when he was about five and that remained his home until he entered military service in World War I in 1917. After his discharge following two and a half years in the navy he lived in Minneapolis until 1932 when he moved to Baudette where a farm at Carp became the family home.
He was married to Ethelyn Brown in Hampton Iowa, Sept. 1, 1923. She survives to mourn his passing as do their two children, Wesley of Baudette, and Mrs. Tony Hudrlik (Elaine) of Crosby. There are also five grandchildren.
His parents, one brother and a daughter preceded him in death.
Other survivors include four brothers; Art, River Falls, Wis., Ted, Osceola, Wis., Henry, Milaca, and William, Baudette: and one sister, Mrs. Anne Luedke, Minneapolis.
