Jane Caldwell Todd was the wife of John Todd who died 29 Oct 1829, possibly in Greenburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. They spent most of their married life in Washington County, New York where most of their ten children were born. Their youngest son, Hiram, died at age 17 in Washington County, New York, and their youngest child, Jane, born Christmas Day, 1803 died the next day. Five of their six remaining sons, became physicians. Jane died at the home of her son, Dr. Samuel Todd.
