Son of Harry Harrison Spence and Emiline M. Gregory Spence.

Harry, who resided at 508 Loockerman Street, Dover, Delaware served as a Private First Class with Company B, 314th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on February 28, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as a Driver and also as being Married.

He was "Killed In Action" in Germany during the war.

He had served in the Army for one year and one month at the time of his death and was decorated with a Purple Heart.
