Mr.Frohardt was born in Germany,December 19,1842 and came to America in 1859. He served in Co.K 24th Regiment Infantry in the Civil War, receiving an honorably discharge May 21,1865. He served 18 month as a prisoner in the notorious Andersonville prison. September 18th,1883 he married Helena Stuernagel in Junction City, Geary County, Ks.
He was one of the succesful farmers of the Upland Community
of Dickinson County, Ks.
Survived by his wife and Gus Jr.,Emil P.,George,Albert,Louie,all of Upland. Mrs.J.R.Meister,ALida,Mrs.J.Echman,Solomon, Ks.,Helen and Elsie of the home. A brother in St.Louis,Mo. and 2 sisters in Germany.
