The funeral for Kenneth L. Lott, 65, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at the First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Terry Bunch. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Kenneth was born at Pawhuska on April 5, 1940, to Velda and Maudie Patton Lott and died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid.
Kenneth married Shirley Cabe in Pawhuska on November 7, 1960. The couple moved to Hennessey in 1966. Kenneth worked for O'Frac, W & S Well Service and Conoco and operated the Shebester Yard in Hennessey. He went into business for himself in 1975, when he and Tom Holder opened Big Red Well Service. He started SJL Well Service in Hennessey in 1987, which he owned and operated until his death.
Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; one daughter, Tamara and husband Rick Failing of Hennessey; one grandson, Jeremy Briscoe and wife Heather; three granddaughters, Lacie and husband Sean McGillicuddy of Yukon, Mariah and Trysta Failing; two step-granddaugters, Lynda and Serah Failing; one great-grandson, Joel Michol Cabe Briscoe; five brothers, Roy Dale and wife Barbara Lott of Sterling, Eugene Lott of Bartlesville, Charlie and wife Joyce Lott, Jim and wife Brenda Lott, Don Lott, all of Hennessey; four sisters, Helen and husband Henry Flud of Hennessey, Bonnie and husband Buster Golay of Ponca City, Paula and husband Bill Smith of Iowa, Janelle and husband Jeff Bartlett of Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
One son, Kenny Lee Lott Jr., his parents, three sisters and one brother preceded Kenneth in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested the Baptist Children's Home as a suitable memorial with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund
