DEATH OF TWIMAN TURNER---TWIMAN (also spelled Twyman)TURNER, a highly respected citizen living east of El Dorado, & a native Cedar County resident, died quite unexpectedly at his home last Friday evening,his death being due to appoplexy. Mr. Turner has been in failing health for about eighteen months past, but was able to be up & around. He was taken suddenly worse Friday & died with a few hours, his passing coming as a shock to his relatives & friends. Deceased was born at Leila, not far from the present home, March 29, 1859, being at the time of his death 66 years, 9 months & 9 days old. He was united in marriage September 4, 1881, to Emma Summers, who lives to mourn the loss of a devoted husband. To this union eight children were born four of whom preceded their father in death. The surviving children are; Mrs. C.F. Jaynes, Mrs. Uri Mays, Omer Turner, and Will Turner all of Cedar county, and all being at their father's bedside when the end came. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Sallie Doggett of Raton, N.M. Mr. Turner had lived all his life in the vicinity where he died & was known by everyone & respected by all. He was an upright,honorable citizen, a good neighbor, a kind & indulgent husband and father and his death is a distinet loss to the community where he resided for so many years. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. I.F. Shurley, were held at the home last Saturday at 12 o'clock, and interment was in the Love Cemetery.
