Died August 14th, Mr. George Pratt of the town of Elk Grove. He was born June 22nd, 1860, in Elk Grove Township, where he has since resided excepting two years spent in the town of Shullsburg. On March the 14th, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Jenny Donelly of Shullsburg.
To this union were born seven children, namely as follows: Mrs. Evert Robins, Elizabeth Irene Pratt, John William Pratt, Minnie Jane Pratt, Laura Ann Pratt, Ida May Pratt and George Marshall Pratt. Besides all his children and his beloved wife, Mrs. Jane Pratt, he leaves to mourn his loss, one brother, Mrs. Jas. Pratt of Linsley, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Robert Waggott of Leadmine, Wis., also two half-sisters Mrs. Jane Rowe of Leadmine and Mrs. John Lee of Seymour.
At the time of his deceased he was 49 years one month and 23 days old. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him being an honest labor in the field of righteousness. He was an active member of the PM church at Roseville, until his failing health made such activity and possible, but during his weary months of illness he bore his cross with great fortitude and courage never doubting would always trusting as a soldier of the cross he fought a good fight, finished his course and kept the faith.
