She met and married William James Mowat, guilder, 10 Dec 1877 at Toronto, Ontario and together they raised five children (Ada Maud Eva, Louis Frank, Walter Hugh, Alexander Ernest, and Jennie Blanche).
Sadly, Jessie died 20 Apr 1889, Toronto Ontario, of pleuro pneumonia when their youngest was only three. She was buried 23 Apr 1889 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
