Wedding Announcement
The Washington Post - December 4, 1901

Gaithersbug Md., December 3, 1901. - Fairview Seminary was the scene of a brilliant wedding at 5:30 o'clock this afternoon. Dr. Horace B. Haddox and Miss Mary Lee Waters were united in wedlock by Rev. Charles H. Waters, father of the bride. The ceremony took place in the spacious parlors of the seminary and was witnessed by the faculty, of which the bride was a member, and a large party of friends. Dr. Browning, of Flint Hill, Va., was. best man, and Miss Bessie Waters was maid of honor. Miss Alice Duncan Tredway played the march. Messrs. Paul Y. Waters, B. D. Chambers and Claude Allnutt acted as ushers. Dr. and Mrs. Haddox left immediately for an Eastern bridal tour.

On Wednesday, June 11, 1969, MARY LEE WALTERS HADDOX, beloved wife of the late Dr. Horace B. Haddox; mother of Horace B. Haddox Jr., Mrs. Edwin L. Yates and Mrs. David M. Tyree; sister of Mrs. J. Brent Clarke; also survived by two grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to call on Friday, from 7 to 9 P.m, at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey, Bethesda, Md., where services will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 2 p.m. Interment Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, Md.
