Roger Dale Kitchens Sr., 74, Normal, died at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2011) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
He was born June 26, 1937 in Beaver Dam, Ky. to Charles and Della Peach Kitchens. He married Carol Morgan on Jan. 30, 1959 in Fowler, Indiana. She passed away Oct. 10, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandchild.
Surviving are his children, Roger (Mitzy) Kitchens, Brenda (Mike) Gravitt, Laurie Zorn, Kathy Lowry and Todd Kitchens, all of Normal; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Sheler, Bloomington; Ray (Lynn) Nannie, Beaver Dam, Ky.; June Ward, Owensboro, Ky. and Rita (Richard) Marshall, Taylorville and one brother, Lindell (Pam) Kitchens, Bloomington.
