Henrietta "Hattie" Sieber was the daughter of Jacob Sieber 1846 and Anna Barbara Diedrick. Her parents had moved from Sheboygan County, Wisconsin to Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin in 1878, where Hattie was born.

After the death of her father in 1891 and her mother in 1896, Hattie at age 7 went with some of her siblings to live with Frederick Diedrick, the brother of her mother Anna Barbara.

Hattie married Jeremiah Edward Stauss, the son of Carl Wilhelm Stauss and Jacobena Kuhn, on March 10, 1913. She died before having any children in 1914. Jeremiah then married Alma Polster, lived in Greenbush, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, and had seven daughters.

Hattie is buried very near to her uncle Frederick Diedrick who she lived with after both of her parents died.
