Mrs. Parks, 81, of the Eldorado Mobile Home Court died at 4:10 a.m. today, June 11, 1986, in Altoona Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 24, 1904, in Windber, the daughter of William and Maude (Yeager) Wonders, and Sept. 24, 1925, in Cumberland, Md., married William C. Parks, who died Feb. 23, 1981.
Surviving are six children: Dorothy C. Smith of Naugatuck, Conn.; P. Jean Soyke of Irwin, Ralph D. of York, Madilyn M. Hanley and Marilyn K. Wilt of Altoona; and Beverly A. Curfman of Hollidaysburg; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Parks was a member of the Fifty-Eighth Street United Methodist Church, Sadler Bible Class and Women's Society.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the William G. Bigelow Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the Fifty-Eighth street United Methodist Church.
