Mr. Butter died at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday May 3, 1994 in an Alexandria hospital.
A native of Forest Hill, he worked in the logging industry and for Morrison Landscaping. He was the oldest elder at Forest Hill United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors are his wife, Drusilar Butter; two sons, J.B. and Lenard Butter; three daughters, Dorothy Whatley, Helen Gillespie and Charlene Stokes, all of Forest Hill; one sister, Ola Giles of Oakdale; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Forest Hill United Pentecostal Church Building Fund.
