GORDEN ALLEN, 69, Hamilton, died on Friday, October 6, 2000, at his residence. He was born on August 29, 1931 in Monroe County, Miss., the son of James Curtis Allen and Trudie Lee Tate Allen. He was employed with Allen's Forestry. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 8, 2000, at 2 p.m. from the Detroit Church of God with burial in the Cooper Cemetery. John Elliott was the officiating minister.
Survivors include his wife - Lois Stark Allen, Hamilton; his children - Barbara (Doug) Ballard and Jo Ann (Steve) Spruiell, all of Detroit, Curtis G. (Teresa) Allen, Regina (Bo) Harris and Bryan (Angie) Allen, all of Hamilton, and Robert (Teresa) Allen, Sulligent; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers - James Allen Millbrook and Claude Allen, Detroit; one sister - Opal Sullins, Hamilton.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
