He was also preceded in death by
his wife, Geraldine Adkins;
two sons, Roger "Doc" Adkins and Albert Lewis Adkins.
He retired from C&O railway as a laborer. He served in the U.S. Army in WW II as well as the Korean War as a Staff Sgt./Cpl. He was a devoted member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans group.
He is survived by
two sons, Ronnie A. and David Lee Adkins;
Granddaughter, Patricia King;
a host of many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren family and friends.
Funeral service at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV with Donnie McCloud officiating. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Garden, Barboursville, WV.
