Walter Raymond Glass.
Sedan - Walter Raymond Glass, Dexter, died Monday evening at the Sedan City Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1896 near Dexter to Charles Henry and Mary Alice Glass.
He married Esther Rowe Dec. 9, 1919. She died in 1944.
He then married Esther Marion, April 2, 1953 in Winfield.
He was retired from the state highway department in 1962.
A member of the Dexter Baptist church and American Legion world War I Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Esther, of the home, two sons, Walter Raymond, Silver Springs, Md., and Merle Albert, Tulsa, Okla., five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Rodemacher, Arkansas City, Mrs. Patricia Cox, Dexter, Mrs. Wanda McVay, Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Marilyn Love, Dexter, and Mrs. Brenda Morris, Fall River, three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Rector, Arkansas City, Mrs. Sylvia Nellis, Dexter and Mrs. Grace Robertson, Pawhuska, Okla., 18 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday in the Dexter Baptist church with the Rev. Babe Standerfer officiating.
Burial will be in the Dexter cemetery.
A memorial has been established in his name with the Dexter Baptist church.
