A daughter of the late Elmer E. and Ida Sharp Rising, she was born June 16, 1922 in Indiana.
Mrs. Fiscus graduated in 1944 with a degree in Music education from IUP, where she was a 50 year member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. She was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church for over 75 years, O.E.S. Blairsville Chapter #166, DAR Indiana County Chapter, where she served in various offices and volunteered at IRMC.
She is survived by three children: William J. Fiscus and wife Joyce, Atlanta, GA; Susan Ingmire and husband Terry, Phoenix, AZ; Richard A. Fiscus and wife Marion, Indiana; a sister Maxine Wellen, Saxonburg; seven grandchildren: Michael Ingmire and wife Jennifer; Kristen Henninger and husband Mike; Vanessa Neylan and husband Chris; Alexandra Fiscus, Genevieve Fiscus, Adam Fiscus, Ben Fiscus; five great-grandchildren: Seth Ingmire, Madelyn Ingmire, Brielle Neylan, Sienna Neylan, Marissa Neylan and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Fiscus, whom she married in 1943.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc. in Indiana with Rev. Richard E. Hurley officiating.
A private interment will be held in Oakland Cemetery.
