They are found in Tallahatchie County on the 1860 census(2). William was born about 1838 in Alabama(2). It is believed that William Dosier met an untimely demise in the Civil War. It is also unknown why Evaline was in Missorui when she married James Parmer.
Evaline married James H. Parmer on 15 June 1865 in Iron County, Missouri(4) by Isaac Lane, Minister of the Gospel(l8). James H. Parmer was born in Missouri(3) in December 1842(1), the son of William C. Parmer and Louisa _____(18).
James and Evaline are still in Iron County for the 1870 population census(3). Living in the household with them is Mary, James' sister.
In 1876, Missouri had a special State census and it finds James and Evaline still in Iron County(4). By 1880 they are found in Marion County, Arkansas, living in the Sugar Loaf Township and their youngest son is listed as being born in Arkansas 1877(5). Land records show James buying 80 acres of land at McBee Landing in the town of Yellville on 10 November 1886(11). Located among courthouse records of Marion County are the mariage records of two children of James and Evaline marrying Ledford siblings(9).

He is also listed as one time pastor for Missionary Baptist Church with no date given(14). The October 23, 1891 issue of the Moutain Echo mentions Elder J. H. Parmer of Powell, this county(Marion)(15). The October 10, 1890 issue of the Mountain Echo newspaper states that Elds Sasser and Parmer held a five day meeting at the Hurst school house(16).
Other mention of James H. Parmer in the Marion County records, include a listing in the Mining Claims Book, page 166. The name of the claim was Tran Buck(17). Also, listed on the next page was William Meredith and his claim, Marian(17).

By 1906, James and Evaline had moved to Garvin County, Oklahoma(10). Evaline died on 30 January 1919(11), and is buried in the McGee Cemetery in Garvin County (Section 2, Row 7), listed as being the wife of Elder J. H. Parmer(11). James is supposed to be buried beside Evaline in the McGee Cemetery, but he must be in an unmarked grave.
