Lois was born in Montpelier, Idaho, on November 18, 1954, to Earl Raymond Wilcox and Donna Robison Wilcox. She grew up in Montpelier, graduating from Bear Lake High School in 1973. She moved with her family to Blackfoot, Idaho, later that same year. She completed an associate's degree at Ricks College, and furthered her education at Idaho State University.
For over 15 years and up until the time of her death, she was employed at Farm Bureau Insurance Company, in Pocatello Idaho, where she so enjoyed working with her associates in the Human Resource Department.
Lois was always an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served valiantly in many different capacities through the years.
Throughout her life, Lois, always looked for the good in people and with her gentle ways and loving heart tried to ease their burdens. She enjoyed music and her talents playing the piano and organ were utilized at many gatherings. Lois' sense of fun and witty sense of humor were a delight and she was loved by all who knew her.
Her family was the most important thing to her. Lois loved spending time with her sisters and her nieces and nephews. She delighted in hearing about their successes and with a listening ear and gentle heart loved them through their trials.
Lois was preceded in death by her father, Earl Raymond Wilcox, her mother, Donna Robison Wilcox, and her brother, Russell Earl Wilcox. She is survived by her four sisters, Marie Wilcox, and Cheryl Wilcox of Blackfoot, Beverly (Eric) Erickson Archer and Arlene Wilcox, Downey of California.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Second and Sixth Ward Chapel, 660 Teton Drive in Blackfoot.
Interment will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
