She and her husband Rev. Robert Woodward Barnwell, I died of typhoid fever two days apart. He was 32, she was 25 and they left 4 little children. per newspaper article of their death.

Born on Nov. 9, 1837, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to John Coles & Mary Lewis (Carter) Singleton. Married Robert Woodward Barnwell on June 23, 1858, and had numerous children, including John Singleton, Robert W., Edward, and Catharine Osborn. Died on June 25, 1863.
