AN DYKE WILLIAM BIOGRAPHY BOOK - HISTORY OF RICE COUNTY 1882. FOREST TOWNSHIP. WILLIAM AN DYKE was born in Huntingdon county, Pennsylvania, in 1829, was reared as a farmer and learned the blacksmith trade. In 1850, he removed to Dixon, Lee county, Illinois, where he engaged at his trade and farming. In 1854, he was married to Mary Jane Robinson, of Pennsylvania. They came to Minnesota the fol-lowing year and located a farm in Cannon City, and in 1861, removed to Forest in section twenty-six, and followed his trade and farming until 1877, since which time farming has been his occupation. Mr. and Mrs. An Iyke have had eight children, four of whom are living, four having died in in-fancy.

Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. A. Matson, Rev. J. W. Stebbins officiating. Mr. An Dyke was 96 years old. He was born in Huntingden county Pa., in 1839 and came to Illinois in 1850. He came to Cannon City in 1855. He died Wednesday, July 1.
