J T Lowry (Tol) a former resident of Green Sulphur district died a few days ago at his home in Fresno, California, after four days illness of pneumonia. He leaves a wife and daughter at that place and one brother G T Lowry, who resides near Buck, this county, in addition to numerous relatives in this county. He was 48 years of age and was one of the largest wheat growers in California. He left this county 25 years ago and went to Missouri and later to California where he became quite wealthy.
His sad death is much regretted here in his native county by his acquaintances.
Mr Boude and others from this county who visited California last fall, visited Mr Lowry and were royally entertained while there.
