He was born and had lived his lifetime in Jonesboro.
He was an assembler for General Electric for 31 years, was a member of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church for 30 years, and an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.T. and Jewell Lakey Hester, one brother, Gary Hester.
Survived by his wife, Linda Hester of the home.
2 sons; Brian and wife Tina and Kevin and wife Denise both of Jonesboro.
2 brothers; Bob Hester of Jonesboro and Tom Hester of Bay.
Sister; Mary Travis of Jonesboro. One grandson; McKenna Hester, Two granddaughters; Keeley and Skyiar Hester.
3 step- grandchildren; Robbie, Jessica and Tanner Brittain.
Graveside service were held at Trinity Cemetery. Burial was at Trinity Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge
