Grave recorded April 8, 1956 by the Chief Tusquahoma Chapter D.A.R. for the series "Louisiana Tombstone Transcriptions", Volume I, Page 97.

According to his death certificiate abstract (found on familysearch) his name was Will K. Harkness, he was born in Louisiana to Frank Harkness and Minah Smith and died at Collinston.

According to his WWI Draft Registration, William's middle name was Kelley. He lived at Collinston, LA and was born August 21, 1878 (different from the headstone). His nearest relative was his wife Lizziebell Harkness. He was medium height and build, with brown eyes and black hair.

He is shown on the 1920 Morehouse parish census with wife Lizzie Bell and sons Frank B., W.D. and William W.

After his death, his widow Lizzie Bell married Samuel W. Taylor in Desha county, AR.
