Frank B. Blaszak, 73, of 152 South Main St, Silver Springs, died Wednesday (April 16, 1986)night at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL., after a brief illness.
Mr. Blaszak was born May 30, 1912, in Pearl Creek, Wyoming County, a son of Stephen and Anna Dwojark Blaszak.
He joined Morton Salt Co. in Silver Springs in 1930 and worked there for 46 years, eventually becoming superintendent of loading.
He was a trustee of St. Mary's Church in Silver Springs, a member of St. Catherine's Church and its Men's Club in Sebring, FL., the Sebring Knights of Columbus, the Silver Springs and Sebring country clubs, and Club 16 of the Morton Salt Co.
He received the St. Joseph the Worker Award from the Buffalo from the Buffalo Catholic Diocese in 1985.
Surviving are his wife, Stella Brzczowski Blaszak; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Anna Mae) Balmas of Castile; and a son, Frank Jr. of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Felix of Silver Springs and Chester of Nunda; and three sisters, Helen Shaffer of Silver Springs, Sophia Heska of Buffalo and Julia Oparka of Chicago.
A vigil service will be at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Weeks Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Silver Springs.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Leroy, NY.
