Edith M.E. Meyer, of Independence, died Dec 27, 2009 at Center Point Medical Center.
She was born Jul 15, 1921, in Scottsburg, IN a daughter of John and Pauline (Lamotke) Gerbitz.
She was raised and educated around Prairie City and Appleton City, MO. She moved to Sedalia in 1952. She worked as a nurse's aide at Bothwell Regional Health Center for 25 years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and Faithful Workers in the church.
She is survived by 2 children Johnnie Sinden, of Diamond, MO & Patty Godbee, of Independence; 3 stepchildren Charles Sinden, of CO, Gary Meyer & Gene Meyer, both of Sedalia; 4 grandchildren Theresa Binney, Ernie Binney, Glen Sinden & Jim Sinden; 8 great-grandchildren Amanda, Michael, Joseph, Jessica, Crystal, Brandon, Spencer & Dena; and 3 great-great grandchildren James, Jonny & Jamie.
She was preceded in death by a son Glenn Sinden; husbands Charley Sinden, Ernie Sitton & Clarence D. Meyer; 2 brothers & 1 sister.
