C.J. was born August 1, 1937 in Gassville, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Carl and Eva (Martin) Gilliland. C.J. was a retired drywall contractor in the St. Louis area for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Eva; sisters: Barbara, Carlene, Dale Gay and Nova Lea; and brothers: Charles and Gale.
