Mrs. W. F. Dodson.

Mrs. W. F. Dodson, aged 68 years, died at her home in Lanett last Thursday. Mrs. Dodson before her marriage was Miss Almina Slaughter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Slaughter. Her first marriage was to Mr. A. J. Gilmore; her second marriage was to Mr. W. F. Dodson, who survives her. Besides the bereaved husband the deceased leaves one son - Mr. O. G. Gilmore, of this county; four daughters - Mrs. Ella Dixon, Mrs. Lela Wheeler, Mrs. Mary Tom Hunnicutt and Mrs. Bert Sims, all of Lanett; three brothers - Messrs. J. C., W. D., and W. W. Slaughter, all of this county; two sisters - Miss Enoree Slaughter and Mrs. J. P. Shaver, also of this county; a large number of other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Dodson was a splendid Christian woman. She joined the Baptist Church at Providence many years ago and was baptized by Dr. W. C. Bledsoe. At the time of her death she was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church.
The remains were interred at Rock Spring Cemetery last Friday, Dr. W. C. Bledsoe conducting the funeral in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends.
