Winslow was the grandson of Stewart and Martha Baird Miller and the great-grandson of Joseph Miller, Esq., and Rachel Creswell/Criswell Miller. All are buried somewhere in Lancaster County, PA, but do not yet show in Findagrave as the exact burial plots are not yet known. However, Rachel's parents are in the system, in Manor Presbyterian Cemetery, just over the Lancaster County line in Chester County, PA.
Winslow was first a clerk in Lancaster County but then went to work at Steelton, Dauphin County, PA, where he and his wife Emma were charter members of First Presbyterian of Steelton. It is not yet clear where they married -- 2 Jan. 1884, according to a family Bible that omitted locations; each transferred membership to Steelton from different churches, hers from Summit County, Ohio, his from Lancaster.
Winslow and Emma had three sons, linked, below. After Winslow died, his widow lived with son Paul in Germantown near Philadelphia, but the couple are buried together here, near where they had lived.
The photo of Winslow comes from a Fulton family genealogy book that featured a chapter on the Miller family because Winslow's great-grandfather Joseph had a daughter who married a Fulton. And, when Joseph's son Stewart died, two of Stewart's Miller children were raised by their aunt and uncle Fulton. Clearly, the Miller genealogy information in that Fulton book came from this Winslow's family (either his widow or his daughter Naomi, most likely), but, ironically, it did not include any reporting about who raised Winslow's father Augustus, son of Stewart, when orphaned as a youngster. He lived with someone other than the Fultons. (See Augustus' memorial.)
