Death of Moses Miller
On Thursday evening of the last week Moses Miller, for many years a resident of this place, died of diabetes at his home a short distance southeast of town. He had been a sufferer from the disease at times for the past thirty years. During the last nine years he had repeated attacks of the complaint. On the 7th of last July he was laid low with typhoid fever from which he had sufficiently recovered so as to be able to sit up three weeks later but at that time his old malady again set in. In his enfeebled condition he was unable to withstand the shock to his system and after a week of intense suffering his death occurred as above stated.
The deceased was aged 58 years and 8 days, and was always known as a hard working man. During the later years of his life he was engaged in hauling at which he made a living. His wife and four sons survive.
The funeral took place on Monday morning and was largely attended. Interment was made in the Bergstrasse church cemetery. Rev. E. S. Brownmiller officiated.
