Diane Thomas Whitten of Childress, died Saturday, July 21, 2001. She was 57 years of age. Born July 24, 1943 in Wellington to Leo and Nona Null Thomas, she was a graduate of Wellington High School. Shemoved to Chidress after her marriage to Charley Whitten and was a resident there since that time. She was a member of the FirstBaptist Church of Childress and a homemaker. Diane enjoyed doingcrafts of all kinds. She was also an artist. She was preceded in death by her father in 1981; a granddaughter Stormi Brooke Whitten in 1991.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her mother, Nona"Sis" Null Thomas, both of Childress; two sons and their wives, Mark and Cindy Whitten of Childress and Paul and Becky Whitten of Decatur, Tennessee and five grandchildren.
