On January 11, 1897 he was united in marriage to Anna M. Sheaffer, and to this Union was born nine children; two sons,
Aaron and Richard passing away during the "flu" epidemic in January, 1919. The Surviving children are William and Glenn Olsburg, Kansas, Harold, Blue Rapids, Kansas, Mrs. Ruth Bentsen, Mildred and Oletha Strader, of Irving, Kansas.
Besides his faithful companion, he is survived by one brother, Simon Strader, Winfield, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Califf,
Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Zillah Stancliff, Riverside, California and Mrs. Mary
Sheaffer, Irving, Kansas; and nine grand- children.
For over two years he had been in ill health due largely to weakness of the heart. His final illness was of short duration, and his departure came on May 17, 1934 at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 19 days.
In his youth he became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Irving, later Transferring his membership to Bigelow, Kansas church. He was quiet and unassuming, but was interested in
the work of the church and of the Church school, supporting both with his
help.
Funeral services were on Sunday, May 20, 1934 at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Wm. J. Marshall at the M.E. Church in Bigelow.
