DENMARK - Services for Asa Godbold Jr., 64, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 1999 at Mercer Funeral Home, with burial in South End Cemetery in Bamberg.

Mr. Godbold, of Route 2, died Saturday, August 28, 1999 at Aiken Hospital. Born in Bamberg, he was a son of the late Asa Godbold Sr. and Edna Spann Godbold. He was a retired Dairyman and was a member of the Reach Out Ministries of Barnwell.

Surviving are his wife, Emma Grubbs Godbold of Denmark; a son, Ricky Godbold of Charlotte; three daughters, Mary Lane Godbold of Aiken, Denise Godbold of Seneca and Joyce Bolen of Texas; four stepsons, Jesse Glover and Dan Glover, both of Denmark, Robert Glover and James Glover, both of Bamberg; a stepdaughter, Donna Platt of Denmark; two sisters, Lucy Flake of Swansea and Jackie Walters of Marietta, Fl.; and grandchildren.

Mr. Godbold was predeceased by a stepson, Frank Glover.
